About

I am an assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

My aspirations

I want to teach and continually develop high-quality learning experiences in and out of the classroom.

My primary research interest is to understand how classroom environments promote student self-efficacy and motivation for math.  For some background on these methods, please check out our JMB paper. More details on my research and teaching pages.

What should students know about me?

  • I am willing to work hard for you, but only as hard as you are willing to work.
  • I love the beauty, elegance, and creativity I experience working with mathematics. I hope this rubs off on you!
  • I live in Norman, with my wife and two kids.

My Education

I completed my Ph.D. in mathematics from OU in 2020, researching the impact of creativity on motivation and confidence (self-efficacy) for mathematics. I worked under the passionate Dr. Milos Savic.

In 2012, I completed my Masters of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and my Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Physics in 2009. More details on my education are here.

My Purpose

I want to know God, seek God, and bring about God’s kingdom on earth.
